Position overview Position title: Clinician Investigator Oncology
Salary range: The posted UC Salary scales set the minimum pay at the appointment as determined by appointment type and if applicable, rank and/or step. The base pay range for this position is $225,000-$400,000. Salary is negotiated annually. Additional compensation may be available if the position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan. Position description

The Division of Hematology/Oncology (https://hem-onc.ucsd.edu) in the Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. The Division is actively recruiting clinical investigators to build and expand our Experimental Therapeutics and Genitourinary Oncology Teams.

These programs are located in the Moore's Cancer Center, the only National Cancer Institute (NCI) designated cancer center in the region. It is multidisciplinary in nature and is one of the most rapidly growing cancer programs at UC San Diego.

The selected candidates will continue to help expand this robust program, with demonstrated excellence in patient care, participation in the educational activities of the Division, and the teaching of hematology and oncology fellows. The selected candidates will focus on early therapeutics as well as novel targeted and immunotherapy approach and genitourinary oncology.

The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's background and experience.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

Candidates must have a MD or equivalent.

Candidates must be Board certified or Board eligible in Medical Oncology.

Candidates must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
