The School is currently seeking a Senior Lecturer in Nursing (Paediatrics/Child & Adolescent Healthwho is a talented educator with demonstrated excellence in teaching and research related to Paediatrics/Child & Adolescent Health. In this position you will make a significant contribution to high-quality teaching and learning practices, curriculum design and evaluation at pre-registration, honours and post-registration levels. This position will also be required to assume academic administration responsibility, including acting in a school leadership role.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Lead high quality teaching (at undergraduate, honours, and postgraduate levels) in Paediatrics/Child & Adolescent Health
  • adopt a leadership role in advancing the coordination and development of people and processes for Paediatrics/Child & Adolescent Health curriculum
  • undertake teaching responsibilities in the pre-registration professional practice and leadership units of study
  • coordinate and develop person-centred content for curricula and programs in the School/Faculty
  • bring person-centred perspectives to educational design, delivery, evaluation and outcomes
  • actively contribute to the research, education and administrative activities of the School/ Faculty
  • play an active role in the ongoing development of the person-centred workplace culture in the School
  • contribute to the strategic direction of the Faculty/University
  • engage with networks and communities to grow partnerships and collaborations that nurture the role and position of the school as a leader in Paediatrics/Child & Adolescent Health.

About you:

  • PhD in nursing or another area of healthcare relevant to Paediatrics/Child & Adolescent Health practice
  • current registration with AHPRA
  • demonstrated team leadership within an established program and experience in teaching in a variety of contexts
  • evidence of success in developing person-centred practices in healthcare
  • evidence of experience as an academic in teaching/facilitating learning, research/scholarship and leadership
  • demonstrated applied understanding of contemporary pedagogical practices
  • developing network of relationships with key academic, industry and professional institutions, partners, networks, communities and stakeholders.
